A Warm Welcome

Can't drive in that way.
Today was an adventure! We learned about hand washing, and we learned about touching things in public places. We also spent 6 hours in the car, boring!

After packing the car in -13C in Calgary, we were thrilled to arrive to +5C at the cabin. It was slightly less thrilling to realize that we couldn't go down the driveway with the car to unload things.

Luckily, Uncle Dave had the perfect solution. Big plastic sleds. The kids rode down the driveway with baskets and boxes on the back of their sleds, unloaded them into the house, and came back up for more.  It might have been the most fun we have ever had unpacking the car.

We spent the evening cleaning and organizing (we brought so much stuff!) and then had dinner and did some coloring.

  1. Ooooo, this sounds like so much fun. I'm dreaming about ditching Lethbridge and heading out to the lake with my kids as well. Fingers crossed.

  2. Aren't the snow drifts such an unexpected texture? The ones in my yard look like another planet at dusk. March is beautiful in the Shuswap. I'm so glad you guys are here.
